PRADA STRENGTHENS ITS PRESENCE IN SAUDI ARABIA

Milan, September 2nd, 2015 - Prada opens its second store in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, inside the prestigious El-Khayyat Center.

The space, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, covers a total area of approximately 400 square metres and houses the women's and men's ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and footwear collections.

The angular external façade, of remarkable visual impact, is wrapped up in a white metal curtain conceived as two staggered elements. Black Marquinia marble volumes frame the display windows, the light boxes and the external entrance to the store devoted to women. The opposite façade inside the mall features another entrance to the area dedicated to women as well as the entrance to the store for men, keeping the two spaces separate. The entrances and display windows, clad in black Marquinia marble, are enhanced by a large canopy extending over them.

The area dedicated to the women's collections comprises a succession of spaces featuring an elegant atmosphere.

The women's leather goods and accessories collections are showcased in a space defined by black-and-white marble flooring and green fabric-clad walls with Prada's iconic cut-in display niches. Green velvet sofas and brightly coloured display counters complete the furnishing.

The area hosting the women's ready-to-wear and footwear collections is characterised by beige carpeting and green fabric-clad walls. In the area dedicated to the ready-to-wear collections, sliding mirror panels create a sophisticated atmosphere.

The space housing the men's collections features masculine materials and finishes: Saint Laurent marble flooring, ebony-clad walls and palladium display units. Wood and metal display counters and cotto-coloured leather sofas complete the setting.
