SHANGHAI, China, June 27, 2012 - Praxair Asia is notifying
its electronic gases customers of a price increase of
10%-20% effective July 1, 2012, on select electronic
process gases as contracts permit.
The price increase is due to escalating raw material and
production costs for electronic process gases. This
increase will allow Praxair Asia to sustain the highest
standard of product quality and make ongoing investments to
support the continuous growth of our customers. Praxair
Asia also continues to implement a variety of productivity
programs to improve the overall cost structure.
Praxair Asia's electronics business supplies customers in
the Integrated Circuit (IC), Light Emitting Diode (LED),
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), and Photovoltaic (PV)
segments. Products to these segments include process gases,
such as precursors, dopants, reactants, etchants, inerts,
etc., as well as bulk, on-site, and associated distribution
equipment.
