Mike Buffham, Global Head of Product and Pricing, Premier Farnell said: "With new technologies supporting IoT evolving rapidly and traditional boundaries blurring, it has become clear that engineers and purchasing professionals need the distribution industry to be more geared towards what engineers need to innovate and succeed. electronica 2014 is a platform for us to really demonstrate our commitment to working with design engineers through each step of the design process from concept through to manufacture and beyond to maintenance and repair.

"Our stand embodies our unique full service capability, the investments in inventory and pricing models that allow us to better support the low to mid volume production space, and the resources we've amassed through our strategic acquisitions of CadSoft, Embest and AVID. By connecting technology, customers and suppliers Farnell element14 is becoming the destination for electronics customers."

CadSoft will be present on the Farnell element14 stand to demonstrate the latest release of its CadSoft EAGLE PCB design software.

Farnell element14 will also showcase its vast test and measurement range with demos from Weller and Tektronix.  Its capability in electromechanical and passive components will also be showcased with XP Power's ECE60 series AC-DC power supply, believed to have the smallest footprint and the highest power density of any 60 Watt power supply in the industry, as well as with demos from Coilcraft, Epson Toyocom, TE Connectivity and Molex.
