Premier Technical Services : PTSG appoints new Group HSE Advisor for southern region operations

Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) has appointed Matthew Bumpus as its new Group SHE Advisor.

Matthew will be responsible for implementing PTSG's health and safety strategy in the southern regions, carrying out site audits and ensuring all employees understand their health and safety responsibilities.

Prior to joining PTSG Matthew worked for metal recycling and waste handling business H Ripley & Co, where he was Environment Health & Safety Manager. He has vast experience in environmental compliance and legislation, having also worked as a site manager for landfill company SITA UK.

Matthew is NEBOSH certified in Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Risk Management, and is currently studying to complete his NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

On joining PTSG, Matthew said: 'I'm very excited to be beginning this chapter in my career, and building on my existing knowledge and skills to benefit the business.

'I'm looking forward to working in a new industry, where there is much to learn, and it will be a real challenge to work across PTSG's four divisions, ensuring that safety remains the number one priority in everything the business does.

'I have always had an interest in health and safety and to work in a high-risk industry is a challenge I've wanted to take on for some time, so I can't wait to get started.'

He brings a wealth of experience and expertise and as our business continues to grow nationally he will undoubtedly help maintain our safety operations in the south.

PTSG's has a strong safety record, having achieved six consecutive RoSPA Gold Awards and British Council Safety Awards. PTSG is one of only a few companies in the UK that has been awarded a RoSPA Gold Medal for its safety record and procedures.
