Presstek, Inc. : Presstek Appoints Axel Thien President of its Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region

Greenwich, CT - March 7, 2012 - Presstek, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRST), a leading supplier of digital offset printing solutions to the printing and communications industries, today announced it has appointed Axel Thien as President of its Europe, Africa, and Middle East Region ("EAMER"). Mr. Thien joined Presstek in 2009 and currently serves as Managing Director of Presstek Germany. His extensive industry experience prior to joining Presstek includes 10 years of product management experience at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and five years in a number of management roles with Agfa. Thien replaces Guy Sasson, who is leaving the company to accept a new position outside the industry.

The Presstek 75DI digital offset press is a highly automated B2 digital offset press that is available in 4- to 10-color configurations. It has a full range of productivity enhancing options, including an inline aqueous coater. The 75DI features support for 300 lpi and FM screening, the ability to go from digital file to sellable sheet in 6-minutes, and a small environmental footprint. The press prints up to 16,000 full-size press sheets per hour. At drupa, Presstek will feature a 5-color 75DI with aqueous coater in Hall 4, Stand 4B03.
