An esteemed magazine has named Principal Financial Group® executive, Doug Fick, to its annual list of the most successful and inspiring IT executives in the industry. Insurance and Technology Magazine selected Fick, chief information officer and vice president of United States Insurance Solutions at The Principal, as one of its annual Elite 8.

“Each year, Insurance & Technology identifies technology executives who demonstrate effective leadership while delivering innovative solutions," says Nathan Golia, senior editor of Insurance & Technology. "Doug's career implementing customer and adviser-focused initiatives using latest-generation technology platforms made him an ideal choice for this year's Elite 8."

For over a decade, Fick has been instrumental in delivering innovative technology solutions that benefit adviser and customers around the world.

Since 1999, Insurance & Technology has honored the best of the best in the IT field each year. Executives are chosen because of their intelligence, experience, vision, creativity and common sense, along with their ability to help companies overcome budget limitations, regulatory restrictions, technological uncertainty and cultural resistance to drive productivity, profitability and growth.

The magazine’s Elite 8 winners are profiled in its November issue. The awards will be presented during Insurance & Technology’s Executive Summit held Nov. 9-11 in Bal Harbour, Florida.
