Munich, October 12, 2015. The ProSiebenSat.1 Group is further expanding its eCommerce business activities. Via its investment subsidiary 7Travel, the TV Group has acquired Etraveli Holding AB. Based in Uppsala, Sweden, Etraveli was founded in 2007 and is a leading pan-European online travel agent for flights. ProSiebenSat.1 has acquired 100% of the shares in Etraveli from Segulah IV L.P., a private equity company in the Nordic region, for an overall valuation of approximately €235 million. The acquisition is subject to approval by the German Federal Cartel Office and by the Austrian Federal Competition Authority.

For ProSiebenSat.1, Etraveli represents its largest international investment in the eCommerce field to date and is an ideal supplement to the travel portfolio of umbrella brand 7Travel: In addition to airline tickets, the portal offers a wide variety of other travel-related services, such as hotel accommodations and rental car reservations. The company operates in 40 countries and on four continents through brands such as Supersaver, Gotogate, Travelstart, and Seat24. In addition, in Sweden Etraveli operates the airline price comparison websites Flygresor.se and Charter.se. Plans are in the works to launch a new range of services in the German travel market this year.

Dr. Christian Wegner, Member of the Executive Board ProSiebenSat.1: 'With our investment in Etraveli, we have taken a significant step toward internationalizing our existing travel portfolio and we have laid the foundation for additional growth that extends far beyond the borders of Europe. Our strategic goal is to gradually globalize the digital business fields so we can continue ProSiebenSat.1's success story as an eCommerce powerhouse.'

Jörg Trouvain, CEO 7Travel: 'Etraveli is one of the best and most user-friendly online travel agencies for flights in Europe. It adds the flights segment to our 7Travel portfolio as a key element for further profitable growth. We're supporting the market entry in Germany with TV backing and integrating the Etraveli flights package into the offerings of our other 7Travel companies with synergies to create a clear win-win situation.'

Matthias Hedlund, CEO Etraveli: 'With its strong focus on international expansion, our company quickly achieved profitable growth in many markets worldwide. With ProSiebenSat.1 as a shareholder, I am convinced that we will be able to take advantage of our position and continue our successful growth even further.'

He continues: 'ProSiebenSat.1 has developed a substantial travel portfolio in recent years, I am delighted that Etraveli now will be part of that family. As such, we will soon launch a broader range of our services in Germany, one of the most relevant travel markets in the world.'

In February 2014, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group founded its own holding company, 7Travel, for its activities in the travel industry: With this step, the broadcast family underscored its commitment to the travel industry while also paving the way for further growth. Thus far 7Travel encompasses the travel portal weg.de; the dynamic travel organizer tropo; billiger-mietwagen.de, Germany's largest portal for rental cars; mydays.de, the specialist for experience gifts and events; the online travel agency reise.com; as well as the weather portal wetter.com. All user requirements can be met under one roof, from flights to accommodations, all-inclusive trips, experience trips, and rental cars, to a wide range of important weather and climate data. Furthermore, the ProSiebenSat.1 Group's travel business includes the hotel price comparison website Discavo as well as Travador, a platform for last minute and adventure trips. The broadcast group holds a minority stake in Travador.

This year, the first range of services from the TV Group's travel portfolio has already become more international in scope: Wetter.com is represented in Spain under the name eltiempo.es; billiger-mietwagen is underway in France under the brand Carigami; and tropo was launched in the Netherlands.
