PSIglobal analyses, plans and designs Schaeffler Group logistics streams


Berlin, 3 June 2013 - PSI Logistics GmbH was contracted by the Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG twelve months ago with the delivery of the analysis and planning software of the industry supply chain with more than 20 sites in the EU.

For the use of the PSI software, Schaeffler set up a centralised know-how in the company. Following an initial training of the core team, the worldwide logistics processes will be continuously checked in its own department to determine potential for improvement and savings.

PSIglobal allows the continuous evaluation and control of value-added logistics processes that can be applied strategically for the site and structure optimisation and tactically to transport network planning and warehouse capacity exploitation by means of scenario technology.

The Schaeffler Group is a worldwide leader for providing roller bearings and linear products in the industry as a renowned supplier of the automobile industry for precision components and systems in motors, transmissions and suspensions. The company generated about 10.7 billion euros in sales at 180 sites in more than 50 countries in 2011.
