JAKARTA: PT Astra International Tbk (ASTRA), Toyota Motor Corporation (TOYOTA) and Daihatsu Motor Company (DAIHATSU) announces new collaboration project, Astra Toyota AGYA and Astra Daihatsu AYLA, new compact green cars with 5 passengers capacity that will be displayed in the 20th Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) which will take place on September 21st to 30th, 2012 in JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.


This collaboration is an important milestone in the history of the automotive industry in Indonesia, besides inline with the government program to design an LCGC (Low Cost Green Car), this is the first automotive product designed by an Indonesian, selected globally and have compete with designers from Italy, France and Japan. In this latest collaboration project, DAIHATSU which is known as a specialist of compact cars, is in charge of planning, development and production for AGYA and AYLA.
While TOYOTA as a global automotive player and market leader with the highest market share in Indonesia and as the leader in brand image based on the technology, will always provide the best fit customer needs. One of the product that stays in the heart of Indonesians is Toyota Kijang, has been part of the Indonesian family for 30 years.

Astra Toyota AGYA and Astra Daihatsu AYLA, both will be produced at the new factory of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) in Suryacipta industrial park, East Karawang. ADM's new plant is scheduled to be completed in October this year with a production capacity can reach 100,000 units per year when it is running full. The new plant will be the pride of Indonesia because in addition to having production will also having Research & Development (R & D) facilities.


DAIHATSU are committed to continue to develop skills in producing fuel-efficient and affordable cars to meet the needs of the people of Indonesia. DAIHATSU will also continue to contribute to the development of the automotive industry in Indonesia to strengthen its R & D as a first step in the development of the local automotive industry makes ADM as production base as well as product design base in the future.New Model Key Features:


1. Fuel-efficient and affordable because it is lightweight to maximize energy efficiency by using Daihatsu technology based on quality concept to maximize the functionality of vehicle components.

4. Compact and comfortable ride because it has high ground clearance for a comfortable ride even on the bad road though, with a small turning radius makes it easy to maneuver the vehicle on a narrow road.

This is the latest collaboration project from Astra-Toyota-Daihatsu to fullfil the needs of Indonesians and being Pride of the Nation.
