PT Astra International Tbk : Indonesia February New Car Sales Up 13% On Month To 86,407 Units - Gaikindo

New car sales in Indonesia in February rose 13% to 86,407 units from 76,365 units a month earlier, the Indonesian car manufacturers association Gaikindo said Thursday.
Gaikindo didn't explain the increase but analysts attributed it to the lower interest-rate environment.
Indonesia's largest car maker by assets and sales, PT Astra International (ASII.JK), sold 50,069 units during the month, up 9.8% from 45,597 units in January.
Gaikindo said new motorcycle sales in February rose 3.1% to 666,136 units from 645,863 units in January.
