PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk : Bank Mandiri Launched a New Branch in South Tangerang

Jakarta, 18 Januari 2012 - Bank Mandiri continuously seeks to
provide access to banking products and services to the
public. Recently, the bank expanded its branch network in the
South Tangerang district by opening a new office that serves
as a branch and district office.
The office is located in the Sector 7 of Bintaro Jaya area.
The launching ceremony was held today and led by Ms.
Fransisica Nelwan Mok, Bank Mandiri Director of Corporate
Banking. Other key officials attending the ceremony included
Mr. Rano Karno, Deputy Governor of Banten, Mr. Benyamin
Davnie, Deputy Mayor of South Tangerang, and Mr. Ilhanudin,
Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia in Serang.
The Bintaro area is part of South Tangerang district. This
area offers business potentials and keeps growing. The
residential properties and business centres in the area are
managed by PT. Pembangunan Jaya, BSD City, Alam Sutera,
Summarecon Serpong, Paramount Serpong and Lippon Village.
According to Ms. Fransisca Nelwan Mok, the presence of the
new office is expected to bring positive contributions to
support the economic development in South Tangerang and
Banten. She added that the bank seeks to get actively
involved in the local community and grow along with it.
Currently, Bank Mandiri operates 1,537 branches throughout
Indonesia. There are 77 branches in Banten. The newly
launched office in South Tangerang is a relocation of a
branch that was previously located in Bintaro Sentra Menteng.
The third-party funding of Bank Mandiri in Banten reached a
total of Rp. 11.8 trillion at the end of November 2011 and
Rp. 9.7 trillion at the end of 2010. Currently, there are
3,939 ATM networks and 42,851 Electronic Data Captures in
Banten and Jabodetabek.
Mr. Rano Karno, Deputy Governor of Banten, said that Bank
Mandiri took the right step by pursuing an expansion and
launching a branch in South Tangerang. He believes that the
presence of the new branch will contribute to support the
economic development of Banten, particularly within the South
Tangerang district.
