Tunis, 19 August 2014 - PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk is very pleased to announce that its subsidiary, Medco Tunisia Petroleum Limited (altogether called "MedcoEnergi" or the "Company"), has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Storm Ventures International (Barbados) Ltd. ("SVI") with Storm Ventures International (BVI) Ltd. (the "Seller") (the "Transaction") with the effective economic date of 1 January 2014 for the base purchase price of US$ 114 million. The total value of the Transaction is US$127.7 million, including an amount payable for working capital of US$ 13.7 million. The Seller is a subsidiary of Chinook Energy Inc., which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
The approval of the Government of Tunisia and the consent of existing partners' have been obtained on 18
August 2014. As of the effective economic date of 1 January 2014, MedcoEnergi has working interest in eight areas which comprise of four exploration areas, two development areas and two production areas. Out of these eight areas, five are onshore and located in the Ghadames Basin (Adam, Sud Remada, Bir Ben Tartar, Jenein and Borj El Khadra); and three are offshore (Cosmos, Hammamet and Yasmin), located in the Pelagian Basin off
the northeast coast of Tunisia. MedcoEnergi is the operator for six blocks, i.e. Sud Remada, Bir Ben Tartar, Jenein, Cosmos, Hammamet and Yasmin.
Current production is approximately at 2,800 BOPD from Adam and Bir Ben Tatar blocks. The future production is envisaged to increase to around 16,000 BOEPD from in-fill well drilling of the existing producing blocks and the development of the Cosmos, Yasmin and Fushia fields (scheduled for completion in 2018). Total estimated net recoverable resources by an independent reserves evaluator, InSite Petroleum Consultants Ltd., is approximately 33.8 MMBOE (3P reserves and contingent resources) as of 31 December 2013.

Tunis, 19 Agustus 2014 - Pada hari ini, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk ("MedcoEnergi" atau "Perseroan"), melalui anak perusahaan yang dimiliki sepenuhnya, Medco Tunisia Petroleum Limited (bersama disebut "MedcoEnergi"), telah menyelesaikan akuisisi 100% saham Storm Ventures International (Barbados) Ltd. ("SVI") dengan Storm Ventures International (BVI) Ltd. ("Penjual") ("Transaksi"). Transaksi ini berlaku efektif sejak 1
Januari 2014 dengan harga dasar pembelian AS$ 114 juta. Nilai total transaksi adalah sebesar AS$ 127,7 juta termasuk modal kerja sebesar AS$ 13,7 juta. Storm Ventures International (BVI) Ltd. adalah anak perusahaan Chinook Energy, Inc. yang terdaftar di Bursa Saham Toronto.
Persetujuan dari Pemerintah Tunisia dan beberapa mitra kerja dari blok-blok tersebut telah diperoleh pada tanggal 18 Agustus 2014. Sesuai dengan tanggal efektif yang berlaku sejak 1 Januari 2014, MedcoEnergi akan memiliki hak kepemilikan di delapan area yang terdiri dari empat blok eksplorasi, dua blok pengembangan dan dua blok produksi. Dari delapan wilayah kerja ini, lima berlokasi di darat dan terletak di Ghadames Basin (Adam, Sud Remada, Bir Ben Tartar, Jenein dan Borj El Khadra) dan tiga di lepas pantai, terletak di Cekungan Pelagian, lepas pantai timur laut Tunisia. MedcoEnergi akan menjadi operator di enam blok, yaitu Sud Remada, Bir Ben Tartar, Jenein, Cosmos, Hammamet dan Yasmin.
Total produksi minyak saat ini sebesar 2.800 BOPD dari blok Adam dan Bir Ben Tatar. Ke depannya tingkat produksi akan dapat dinaikkan hingga 16.000 BOEPD melalui pengeboran sumur in-fill di blok produksi (Bir Ben Tartar) dan pengembangan lapangan Cosmos, Yasmin dan Fushia yang dijadwalkan selesai pada 2018. Berdasarkan laporan konsultan penghitung cadangan Migas independen, InSite Petroleum Consultants Ltd., perkiraan jumlah cadangan Migas yang dapat ditemukan sebesar 33,8 juta barel setara minyak (MMBOE) (berupa cadangan 3P dan sumber daya Migas) pada 31 Desember 2013.
