Orlando Agrippa, former Deputy CIO and Director of Informatics of Barts Health NHS Trust, to be recognized at AGENDA15 Conference in March 2015

Radnor, PA - 18 November 2014

Qlik®(NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in data discovery, today announced that Orlando Agrippa, former Deputy CIO and Director of Informatics of Barts Health NHS Trust, has been named a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leadership Awards honoree. Agrippa has been a long term user of Qlik, initially deploying the solution in Newham Hospital in 2009. Since then he has implemented the solution in various roles that he has held throughout his career. Agrippa is being recognized for his successful Qlik deployment while holding a prestigious position at Barts Health NHS Trust, in which he played a key role in merging three large hospitals. Agrippa is now an Executive Director at Draper & Dash.

Barts Health is the largest NHS Trust in the United Kingdom, and one of Britain's leading healthcare providers, serving a population of 2.5 million in east London and beyond. The network of hospitals employs 15,000 people, has a turnover of £1.25 billion, and consists of six local hospital sites.

Barts Health needed an IT infrastructure to bridge the gap between all hospitals and groups that make up the organization. Each hospital system had a specific way of doing things, and connecting them together to work as cohesively organization was the organization's most strategic business initiative over the last 18 months. In order to accomplish this, Agrippa implemented Qlik to deliver a streamlined view of operations such as productivity, patient outcomes and efficiencies across the hospitals. The solution empowered daily operations to address critical information such as operating theatres efficiency, patient arrivals and departures, mortality rates, and readmissions.

"Orlando truly understands the power that data has in improving an organization from top to bottom," said Chris Christy, National Healthcare Market Director at Qlik. "He has been a Qlik customer for many years now, and we are thrilled to see him recognized for his accomplishments by the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leadership Awards list."
