QR NATIONAL LIMITED APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
The Board of QR National Limited is pleased to announce the
appointment of Mrs Karen Field and
Mr John Cooper to its Board of Directors, effective 19 April
2012.
Karen Field

Mrs Field has obtained extensive experience over three
decades in the mining industry and also has a strong
background in human resources and project management.
Currently, Mrs Field is a non- executive director of a number
of listed and unlisted entities including Sipa Resources
Limited, Water Corporation of Western Australia, Sungrid
Limited and MACA Limited. In addition, Mrs Field is also a
director of a number of community based organisations. Prior
to this, Mrs Field held non-executive directorships with the
Centre for Sustainable Resource Processing, Electricity
Networks Corporation (Western Power) and Perilya Limited.
John Cooper
BSc (Building), FIE Aust, FAICD, FAIM
Mr Cooper has more than 35 years' experience in the
construction and engineering sector in Australia and
overseas. Currently, Mr Cooper is Chairman and non-executive
director of Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited and
also holds non-executive directorships with NRW Holdings
Limited, Flinders Mines Limited and Neptune Marine Services
Ltd. During his career as an executive, Mr Cooper's roles
have encompassed large civil commercial and infrastructure
projects, and complex engineering and project management
activities in the mining, oil and gas, engineering and
property sectors.
The Chairman of QR National Limited, Mr John Prescott AC
said, "We are very pleased that Mrs Field and Mr Cooper have
agreed to join the Board bringing additional diversity and
broad industry knowledge in mining, construction and
engineering and human resources management."
The appointment of Mrs Karen Field and Mr John Cooper brings
the total number of directors on the
QR National Board to nine. Ends
