QuickLogic Corporation (NASDAQ: QUIK), a developer of ultra-low power programmable sensor processing, display bridge and programmable logic solutions, today announced that it has partnered with motion technology industry leader CyWeeMotion to deliver Android CTS compliant software and smartphone algorithms integrated with its EOS™ S3 sensor processing platform. The combined solution provides always-on user activity detection, gesture and context detection and voice recognition at ultra-low power levels, along with a best-in-class sensor fusion engine -- enabling a vast array of new smartphone applications.

The turnkey platform gives smartphone OEMs a complete solution that is significantly more capable than the basic Google Android platform. For example, CyWeeMotion adds special gesture and other advanced algorithms including Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR). In addition, OEMs can choose other specific algorithms to add features and further differentiate themselves. The resulting unique combination of high functionality and ultra-low power consumption enables OEMs to quickly develop new, leading-edge applications and deliver them to their customer base.
