9.1% sales growth over the second quarter of 2016
Over the course of the second quarter of 2016, Radiall achieved sales of €76.5 million, an increase of 9.1% in comparison with the second quarter of the previous financial year. Excluding consolidation of Van-System sales in 2016, business for the quarter grew 7.7% on a like-for-like basis.
During the half-year just ended, Radiall achieved growth that was in line with its forecasts at the start of the year. Sales for the six months to 30 June 2016 stood at €155.4 million, representing an increase of 5.5% in relation to the same period of 2015. On a like-for-like basis, sales grew 3.1% in comparison with the first half of 2015.
All business segments posted growth over the half-year with the exception of Space. Civil Aeronautics was solid, with Defence and Telecoms also showing encouraging signs of growth. The Industrial sector achieved growth, notably as a result of the consolidation of Van-System sales over the half year.
With growth seen in both North America and Europe, and despite a decline in business in China, Radiall strengthened its international presence, which represents 88.1% of sales, over the first half of 2016.
Outlook
Within a context of significant pressure on prices and a sluggish connector market, Radiall will continue to rely on both the strength of its Civil Aeronautics segment and its sales momentum in other sectors, and aims to achieve over the course of the second half of the year a similar level of sales to that generated over the first six months.
The Group nevertheless remains cautious given the highly uncertain economic environment and the structural volatility of some of its markets, such as Telecoms, particularly in China.
