RSC Energia: 2017 is proclaimed as the Year of Quality

Rocket & Space Corporation Energia proclaims 2017 as the year of the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite - the Year of Quality.

Such a decision is made to increase effectiveness of labour and assure quality during the development of rocket-space technology.

Work on quality assurance shall be performed systematically at all stages of the production cycle, since the elaboration of design documentation, observance of all technological requirements and organization of each work station, - the Corporation General Director Vladimir Solntsev noted.

He emphasized that the 100-percent result in this work can be achieved only if each of the employees is able to apprehend clearly the responsibility for products made.

RSC Energia performs the most important work on creation of the advanced manned space complexes, launch vehicles, unmanned spacecraft and systems, transport and logistics support of the ISS with regard to manufacture, testing and launches of manned transport and cargo spacecraft.

Earlier ROSCOSMOS proclaimed 2017 as the Year of the First Satellite. On October 4 there will be 60 years since the beginning of a space age of mankind - it was the day in 1957 when the first artificial Earth satellite was launched.

RSC Energia is the leading enterprise of rocket - space industry, the prime organization for manned space systems. The Corporation is working to develop unmanned and rocket systems (launch vehicles and interorbital transfer vehicles), high-tech systems for various applications to be used in non-space fields.
