Tokyo, May 19, 2015 - Rakuten Card Co. Ltd. today announced the launch of the Rakuten Pink Card, the company's first credit card created especially for women. Applications for the Rakuten Pink Card and the issuance of the card will start from today.

The Rakuten Pink Card is a credit card specifically aimed at women that was designed to be able to be used by women for the long-term regardless of any changes they may face in their lifestyle. Like the Rakuten Card, which was launched in 2005, the Rakuten Pink Card has no annual membership fees and offers the same high reward Rakuten Super Points reward rate*1, but also for a monthly fee offers a variety of services aimed at women which can be customized freely to meet the lifestyles of the card holder.

The customizable service options are as follows:

Customizable Services

1. Rakuten Group Benefit Services (300 yen monthly fee, not including tax)
Card holders will receive a wide range of special benefits provided by Rakuten Group services, such as discount coupons for Rakuten 24 and Rakuten Travel and extra Rakuten Super Points when using Rakuten Beauty.

2. Lifestyle Support Services (300 yen monthly fee, not including tax)
Card holders will receive over 110,000 different discounts and benefits in a variety of categories that fit women's lifestyles, including restaurant and movie vouchers, lessons, and nursing care and childcare services.

3. Insurance for Women (starting from a monthly fee of 30 yen, for a 19-year-old woman on a female-related illness insurance plan)
Card holders can select from four different insurance plans covering female-related illness, injury, damage to personal effects, and personal accident liability.

To commemorate the launch of the Rakuten Pink Card, Rakuten Card will be holding a special limited-time-only Rakuten Pink Card Launch Commemoration Campaign in which customers who apply for Rakuten Group Benefit Services and Lifestyle Support Services during the campaign period will be exempted from paying the monthly fee*2.

By providing a credit card that women can customize to match their lifestyles, Rakuten Card Co. Ltd. is aiming to further increase customer satisfaction.

*1 Payments made using a Rakuten Card earn Super Rakuten Points equivalent to 1% of the payment sum. When used on Rakuten Group services, such as Rakuten Ichiba, payments made using a Rakuten Card earn twice as many Rakuten Super Points.

Over 110,000 discounts and benefits on non-Rakuten Group services in a variety of genres, including restaurant and movie vouchers, lessons, and nursing and childcare services.

3. Insurance for Women (starting from a monthly fee of 30 yen, for a 19-year-old woman on a female-related illness insurance plan)
Recommended insurance plans for Rakuten Pink Card holders. Four different insurance plans are available to allow customers to select plans to suit changes in their lifestyles such as marriage and childbirth, including a female-related illness insurance plan with a fee that starts from 30 yen per month (for a 19-year-old woman), and a personal accident liability insurance plan.
