in case of cancer diagnosis　－

October 31, 2014 - Rakuten, Inc. today announced that as part of its membership loyalty program, it will provide the "Rakuten Mini-Insurance Cancer Plan" developed by group firm Rakuten Life Insurance Co., Ltd. to eligible Rakuten members, starting on Tuesday, November 4, 2014.

Eligible Rakuten members can sign up to the Rakuten Mini-Insurance Cancer Plan, and can receive a "cancer diagnosis benefit" of 50,000 yen as a lump-sum benefit in the case that they are diagnosed with cancer (malignant neoplasm). The insurance is for one year, and the premium is fully paid by Rakuten as the policyholder. Utilizing Rakuten's unique business model that includes financial services, this initiative will boost customer satisfaction.
