Rathbone Investment Management (Rathbones), one of the UK's leading providers of high quality discretionary investment management services, is once again opening its doors to six local school leavers and university graduates as part of the Rathbone Apprenticeship Programme.

Now entering its third year, the programme provides the opportunity to participate in a two year development programme within Rathbones' Liverpool-based operational support teams.

The scheme itself involves both on-the-job training and work experience while apprentices can also undertake qualifications funded by the scheme, including an NVQ in Business Administration and the Investment Operations Certificate.

This year's candidates, Alanna Mok, Charles Mossman, Heather Davies, Joel Carter, Joel Johnson and Rebbeca Cushnie also attended the recent graduation of successful apprentices at the Rathbones' Port of Liverpool building. Amy Kirby, Connor Day, Paul Edwards, Greg Beaver, Jonny Jones and Lewis Manning all completed the graduate scheme this summer. The graduating apprentices were joined on the day by Rathbones chief executive, Philip Howell, and Liverpool-based deputy chief operating officer, Paul Loughlin, with Philip presenting each with their certificate of graduation.

The successful graduates marked the occasion with mentors and colleagues from Rathbones along with friends and family. Each graduating apprentice has completed their NVQ in Business Administration and are all on track to achieving their Investment Operations Certificate. One graduate, Amy Kirby, has also attained an Investment Advice Diploma and is now working toward the Chartered Wealth Management title.

Commenting on the continued success of the Rathbone Apprentice Programme, Philip Howell said:

'The graduation of this year's apprentices was a proud moment for everyone involved. We consider the Rathbones Apprenticeship Programme to have been an absolute success and we are committed to continuing to offer apprenticeships going forward. I am delighted that Rathbones has been able to help this group of talented young people to secure their futures - congratulations and best wishes to them all.'
