RAYMOND JAMES HIRES EDUCATION PUBLIC FINANCE PROFESSIONAL BRODIE KILLIAN

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Raymond James is adding capabilities to its education public finance practice with the hiring of Brodie Killian as senior vice president to serve school and community college districts throughout Michigan.

Killian has extensive experience with Michigan public school districts on both the issuer and financing side of bond issuance. His focus will be on providing Michigan's K-12 school districts with innovative solutions in a sector with growing financing needs. Killian will also assist Raymond James' specialty bankers in support of large issuers, higher education and healthcare institutions.

Killian joins Raymond James from William Blair & Co. where he led the Michigan local government, school and community college finance team. He previously served as deputy superintendent of business and operations at Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. Killian is the most recent in a string of senior-level hires to expand the firm's presence in the K-12 sector. He joins a K-12 full-service team of banking professionals backed by a powerful distribution network across Michigan.

'Brodie's diverse experience in and knowledge of the Michigan K-14 sector will be a tremendous advantage to our clients in need of unique and innovative solutions to their financing needs,' said Gavin Murrey, co-head of Raymond James Public Finance. 'As we continue to expand our education public finance practice, the addition of senior experienced bankers like Brodie is key to helping us reach our goal of providing unmatched service and attention to our issuer clients.'

'I will continue my role as a dedicated municipal bond banker servicing Michigan's K-12 districts, community colleges and local governments,' Killian said. 'The Raymond James platform is arguably the strongest of any in the nation providing issuer clients with superb execution. And further, the firm's robust and historical retail brokerage presence in the state of Michigan is also arguably the strongest of any other firm operating here today.'

Consistently ranked as a top 10 underwriter of municipal bonds nationally, according to Thomson Reuters, Raymond James has one of the largest public finance practices in the country with more than 180 professionals in 27 locations nationwide. The firm offers municipal issuers a comprehensive distribution platform and the largest middle market sales force of any U.S. broker/dealer.
