RCR Tomlinson : Awarded Large EPC Contract for Pilgangoora Project

RCR AWARDED LARGE EPC CONTRACT FOR PILGANGOORA LITHIUM-TANTALUM PROJECT

Diversified engineering and infrastructure company, RCR Tomlinson Ltd (ASX: RCR), is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract with Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS) for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction ("EPC") of a processing plant for the Pilgangoora Lithium-Tantalum Mine.

The contract is a staged award with a total maximum value of approximately $148 million with a target price of $138 million. Stage 2 of the contract is subject to Pilbara Minerals completing its final investment decision ("FID") for the project, which is expected to be completed by March 2017. The contract value excludes several critical long-lead items procured by Pilbara Minerals, including the filter press, ball mill and HPGR.

RCR's scope of work includes the EPC of a 2Mtpa Lithium-Tantalum Processing Plant, including wet and dry circuit with concentrator, associated plant and commissioning at Pilbara Mineral's Pilgangoora Lithium- Tantalum Mine located 120km south of Port Headland in Western Australia's Pilbara region. RCR will use its Western Australian workshops to support and perform some of the fabrication required for the project.

The stage 1 front-end engineering and design ("FEED") is worth $10.3 million and will commence immediately along with procurement of major equipment. Subject to FID and completion of the FEED, Pilbara Minerals has the option but not the obligation to commit to the stage 2 construction which is planned to commence in May 2017. The processing plant is scheduled for first production in Q1, 2018.

RCR has engaged Minnovo and Primero as key technical and engineering subcontractors for the works.
