Every October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, Regis Corporation salons, stylists, guests and business partners come together during the company's annual Clip for the Cure campaign to raise money for breast cancer research. The campaign's highlight includes a daylong haircutting event where stylists at more than 7,000 corporate salons throughout the country give haircuts to over 225,000 guests, with a portion of proceeds going to The Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. In addition, guests help raise funds by purchasing limited-edition "pink" products and donating to the cause throughout the campaign.

"Breast cancer research continues to be an important cause for our company because the disease touches the lives of many of our guests, stylists, team members, friends and families," said Dan Hanrahan, CEO and president of Regis Corporation. "The University's Masonic Cancer Center is home to some of the world's top breast cancer researchers and Regis is proud to support their ongoing search for a cure."

The Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota creates a collaborative research environment focused on the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of cancer; applying that knowledge to improve quality of life for patients and survivors; and sharing its discoveries with other scientists, students, professionals and the community. Founded in 1991, the cancer center became a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in 1997, one of only 41 institutions in the United States and two in Minnesota to hold that designation.

Regis Corporation has supported breast cancer research since 1990, raising more than $10 million for its foundation, which funds breast cancer research at nationally recognized organizations. More than 30 Regis Corporation salon brands participated in the 2013 Clip for the Cure campaign. For more information, visit ClipForTheCure.org.
