REN Redes Energeticas Nacionais : Energy app wins APCE Grand Prize 2018

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais won the Grand Prize of the Associação Portuguesa de Comunicação de Empresa - APCE (Portuguese Corporate Communication Association), with the REN Energy app in the Mobile Communication and Apps category.
With this, REN's application receives another important award, reflecting its usefulness and relevance in the context of multimedia and digital communication.
In this 2018 edition, companies could compete in 24 categories, with the evaluation being carried out by a jury of 17 personalities with prominence in their professional areas.
Created in 1995, the APCE Grand Prize seeks to honour excellence in the organizational communication strategy, fostering, acknowledging and disseminating the initiatives of this area's professionals.
The REN Energy app was released in 2017, and is broken down into five sections: My News, Events, Statistics, Opportunities and an area about the company. Each section is customizable according to the topics each user finds most interesting, with the ability to create alerts and share content.
In My News, content is published about energy, environment, innovation, sustainability and education topics. Users may also submit original content to REN for publishing in the application, making it a tool with user participation and which generates interaction between users.
All relevant information about production and consumption of energy is available in the Statistics section, along with the corresponding breakdown by type of source and the balance of exports and imports between Portugal and Spain. Easy-to-read and easy-to-understand charts with constantly updated information, providing daily and monthly data, can be easily accessed and shared.
In the Events and Opportunities areas, users can closely monitor the most important dates for the company and for the sector, creating alerts and keeping track of existing employment opportunities at REN.
With this application, which is open to everyone's participation, Portugal's energy and everything that integrates REN's world is easily within the users' reach.

REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais, SGPS, S.A. specializes in the operation and concession management of the Portuguese electricity transportation network. Net sales break down by activity sector as follows:
- electricity (63.7%): transportation of electricity from producers to end distributors and consumers, management of the electricity transportation network (connecting user installations to the network, maintenance of the network, etc.). At the end of 2022, the network has a total of 9,424 Km;
- gas (34.8%): transportation of natural gas from producers to end distributors and industrial consumers, underground storage of natural gas, receiving, storage, and regasification of liquid natural gas (LNG), infrastructure construction and maintenance services, etc.;
- telecommunications (1.3%);
- other (0.2%).
