REN - Redes Energéticas Nacionais will celebrate another REN Day at Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga (MNAA) on 13 October, between the 10 AM and 6 PM, and will 'open the doors' of the Museum to all who wish to visit it. Once again, a special programme was developed for the schools.

REN Day at the MNAA celebrates the partnership established in 2012 between the company and the Museum. This year, REN created a programme with two workshops-oil pastel portraits and jewellery-and a paper chase, with the support of the Educational Service of the MNAA. These activities have been especially designed for children and raise awareness of the Museum and the works in its permanent and temporary exhibitions. During the morning, there will be a performance of the Youth Symphony Orchestra, which has been supported by REN for over 10 years.

In the oil-pastel-portrait workshop, each child chooses a friend to portray and vice versa, while in the jewellery workshop, the goal is to connect the public with the fanciful world and with the characters of Bosch's work. There will also be a paper chase where the students will have to discover and return part of a piece 'stolen' from the Museum.

A partnership was also established with Associação Salvador and EPIS, two institutions also supported by REN. Associação Salvador (www.associacaosalvador.com), in addition to organizing the visit of participants with motor disabilities, will bring two artists with reduced mobility to play, each in their own style, two of the Museum's iconic works. EPIS (www.epis.pt), which works to combat early school leaving, will promote the visit and the participation in the activities of groups of students accompanied by the institution.

REN day at the MNAA was designed to celebrate the company's support to the Museum. For that purpose, REN invites everyone to visit it for free on 13 October, and to participate in the activities especially designed for this celebration in an inclusive space of culture and knowledge.
