Update Regarding Welsh Wind Farm Project:

Planning Inspectorate accepts Mynydd y Gwynt Development Consent Order Application for Examination

Renewable Energy Holdings plc (AIM: REH), is pleased to announce that the Planning Inspectorate has accepted the application for examination of the Order Granting Development Consent for the proposed Mynydd y Gwynt Wind Farm.

REH signed a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Mynydd y Gwynt Ltd in November 2008, followed by an Amendment Agreement which was detailed in an announcement dated 5 December 2011 and which gives REH an option to buy Mynydd y Gwynt Ltd.

The Project now proceeds to the pre-examination stage; this stage of the process takes approximately three months from the developer's formal notification and publicity of an accepted application and is followed by a six month examination stage.

The application is for 27 wind turbines of 3-3.3MW each, giving a capacity between 81-89.1MW. For more information on the process and the latest status of the project see the Planning Inspectorate websitehttp://infrastructure.planningportal.gov.uk/

Further announcements will be made in due course .
