NASHVILLE, TN. - Nashville's chapter of Power to Exhale, a women's empowerment group which is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, is hosting a free financial literacy class for women at the New Level CDC, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1112 Jefferson St. on Tuesday, June 28th from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.

The class will cover three major topics: budgeting, homeownership and credit, and investing. This training class is part of Power to Exhale's new arm of the organization called "Power Up University". Power Up University's goal is to help women reach their full potential through training in the areas of nutrition and exercise, emotional intelligence, financial literacy and life skills.

Local financial experts Lisa McIntyre, Brian Jordan, and Bob Stokes are presenting at the class. Lisa McIntyre is a Housing Services Specialist. She is also a certified housing counselor with over 15 years of experience in housing and nonprofit management.

Brian Jordan is Republic Bank's Mortgage Loan Officer for Middle Tennessee. Jordan has over 18 years of mortgage lending experience in the area and is active in several local real estate professional groups.

Bob Stokes is an Investment Advisor at Edward Jones Financial Services. Stokes is dedicated to serving the needs of individual investors. He helps develop complete strategies that are tailored to each individual to achieve client's financial goals.
