Retelit at Pacific Telecommunications Council 2017 - AAE-1 launch confirmed as per the plan

At Asia-Pacific's main telecommunications industry event, Retelit will present new high-capacity international connectivity solutions, based also on the AAE-1 submarine cable whose launch has been confirmed as planned

Retelit will attend the 39th Pacific Telecommunications Council to be held between January 15 and 18, 2017. The annual conference is a key strategic event for the global telecommunications industry, with three days dedicated to networking and discussions among sector leaders: Retelit will present to the Carrier, Over The Top (OTT) and Service Providers community its infrastructural solutions which are also based on the AAE-1 submarine cable.

The AAE-1 cable is currently in the commissioning phase, with entry into service by the end of the first quarter of 2017 - in line with the consortium's schedule.

Recently laid in Bari and connected to the landing station constructed by Retelit - the only Italian representative in the Consortium - the cable will connect the major countries of Asia, Africa and Europe, linking up in fact with the largest telecommunications gateways from Marseilles to Hong Kong and Singapore: 25,000 KM's of fiber optics connecting countries which host more than 40% of the world's population.
