In order to further enhance its organizational effectiveness and streamline its management structure, Rexel announces today a new organizational structure in Europe combining two of its three European zones in order to form a new Southern, Central and Eastern Europe zone.

As a result, Patrick Berard has been appointed to the newly-created position of Senior Vice President Southern, Central and Eastern Europe, effective October 1st, 2014.

Patrick Berard's extension of responsibilities reinforces Rexel's commitment to create the leadership conditions to further accelerate the business transformation and to leverage synergy and scale across the Southern, Central and Eastern European zone.

Patrick Berard joined Rexel in 2003 as CEO Rexel France and is widely recognized for growing and transforming Rexel's French business to become the market leader. In 2007, he became Senior Vice President Southern Europe and in 2013, Belgium and Luxembourg also came under his responsibility.

Patrick Berard will be taking over from Michel Klein, who is stepping down from his current role of SVP Central and Eastern Europe.
