Stuttgart, Germany, 01 July 2015. RIB Software AG, the world's leading provider of 5D BIM Big Data technology for the construction industry, today announced the conclusion of the 13th phase II iTWO contract of a planned 25 in the current financial year 2015 (financial year 2014: 14). The construction company Karl Gemünden has decided for iTWO 5D, iTWO finance and iTWO cx in order to, in future, handle all business process with the end-to-end corporate solution from RIB.

The construction company Karl Gemünden is a family business based in Ingelheim am Rhein and has about 300 employees. Gemünden has been an RIB Software client for many years and comes from the traditional building construction sector. The medium-sized company specialises in the business segments of houses, innovative building services, functional buildings and office and administrative buildings. As a regional innovator, it focuses on the use of the latest technologies, such as the controlling and monitoring of resources via GPS tracking and RFID chips.

Dr Hans-Peter Sanio, CTO of RIB Group, commented: "We're delighted to be able to continue our long-standing collaboration with Gemünden and to enter into a further strategic partnership. Gemünden is a very good example of modern iTWO 5D technology now also being used by innovative medium-sized companies. In particular, the cooperation with Gemünden promises a great deal of food for thought on how we can further optimise our 5D solutions for the innovative small firm sector."

Tim Gemünden, CEO of the construction company Karl Gemünden: "We have successfully employed RIB solutions at our company for many years. We have also dealt quite successfully with model-based working practises for a few years and are now gradually expanding the use of 5D technology. Since through the company-owned project development we also often act as an investor, we expect a streamlining of the planning process and, through the necessarily higher degree of detail at an earlier point in the process, much greater cost security. The examination of variants is made easier, making it possible to optimise the planning and construction processes even more than before. In addition, as all data between technical and commercial software is transported into an integrated solution, we see promising prospects for managing our resources based on 5D models used together with GPS and RFID technology."
