Ricardo will showcase technical expertise for low CO technologies, hybrid and electric systems, ADAS, automated and autonomous solutions, lightweight design, advanced engine development, testing services and benchmarking.
As a sponsor for the Tech Hub of SAE World Congress 2016, a TechTalk will be provided at 4:15 pm on Wednesday April 13 by the company's VP of business development, Dave McShane. There are a range of transport policy opportunities to drive improvements in efficiency - but selecting the right mix of policy, infrastructure, technology and incentives to achieve an affordable solution is not straightforward. Entitled 'Smart City Mobility: Shaping the Landscape of Cities for 2025-2030' the presentation will review a tool developed for European cities to help city planners and policy makers understand the impact of various policies on their city's transportation, environment and economy.
There will be ten presentations in the technical conference highlighting technology and support from Ricardo. Topics of these talks range from the impact of light-weight design on manufacturing cost, to the barriers to entry in automotive production, to model based development for real driving emissions solutions. Ricardo's exhibits will highlight collaborations between Ricardo's design and integration experts with innovative technology providers including: Infineon, Wind River, Albany Engineered Composites, GaN Systems and United Technologies Research Center. A 2 KW vehicle power inverter featuring GaN Systems' energy efficient gallium nitride technology for smaller and lighter power electronics will be on display in the booth. In addition, the Wind River® Helix Chassis™ software framework for next generation connected and autonomous vehicles will be demonstrated in an interactive exhibit, as well as Infineon's brand new AURIX™ microcontroller family which is based on the 32-bit TriCore™ CPUs, designed to meet the highest safety standards while increasing performance. Additionally, visitors can connect with expertise from the Ricardo Software team to support powertrain and vehicle design.
