Ricoh Company, Ltd., Tokyo, January 23, 2012 -
The Ricoh Group's two production bases in Thailand,
being situated away from the main flood area, managed to
avoid direct damage to equipment as well as danger to
employees. However, because of the difficulty in sourcing
out some parts, since October 17 last year Ricoh
Manufacturing (Thailand) Ltd., had to suspend production in
some laser printer lines.
The close collaboration with suppliers for
parts procurement allowed for stable operation to start
again from the end of this year, and now production has
returned to pre-flood levels.
We experienced shortage of some products, and
for that we apologize to our valued customers. In order to
make up for the lag in production scheduling, we aim to
increase total production volume, thus ensuring a stable
product supply going forward.
