Rightster, the cloud-based video distribution and monetisation network , has been selected by British Path é , the world's leading multimedia resource, as its global online video partner both on YouTube and across Rightster's publisher network.



British Pathé is one of the finest newsreel archives in the world with a collection of 90,000 films unrivalled in historical and cultural significance.  Spanning the years from 1896 to 1976, the collection includes footage from around the globe of major events, famous faces, fashion trends, travel, science and culture.

Rightster will manage British Pathé's entire YouTube business - c85,000 videos - with a particular focus on audience development and revenue generation. The partnership will also aim to attract a younger audience, specifically between the ages of 16 and 24, to the archive footage.

Rightster will also work with British Pathé to syndicate its online video content across Rightster's global network of over 7,500 additional publishers to coincide with timely events in order to drive views and revenue.
