Rock Energy Resources Inc., operates through its subsidiary American Patriot Gold. The Company is engaged in the development of gold and associated mineral assets, such as silver, platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, located in the United States. It also owns a 49% direct interest in the Red Arrow mine in Mancos, Colorado. It has increased patented claimed acreage from 317 to 800 in the first quarter of 2012 and in conjunction with partners in the property are working to establish additional prospective claims immediately adjacent to operating mine. It even invests in osmium, palladium and iridium. Silver has a lower quality as it is possible to darken in contact with sulfur gas. Ruthenium is also a rare metal that is used as a catalyst in platinum alloys.
