SANTIAGO, Chile (March 19, 2014) - Rockwell Collins, a leading provider of globally proven open, scalable and exportable avionics and communication solutions, will showcase a virtual Pro Line Fusion® in its exhibit at Feria Internacional del Aire y del Espacio (FIDAE) 2014.

At FIDAE 2014, Rockwell Collins will showcase the Pro Line Fusion flight deck in development for Embraer's KC-390 tanker/transport aircraft on its Virtual Avionics Procedures Trainer (VAPT).

The VAPT uses actual avionics software which matches the fidelity and performance of the avionics in operation, while using an intuitive graphical user interface and rehosted avionics in a cost effective platform.

During FIDAE 2014, Rockwell Collins will also showcase a wide range of advanced technology solutions that give defense and commercial customers the best advantage. Attendees are invited to the company exhibit (Hall C, Stand 34) to find out how Rockwell Collins is enhancing interoperability, situational awareness and mission effectiveness for airborne operations, border security and disaster recovery. Rockwell Collins representatives will also be available to discuss the company's extensive air transport avionics upgrade offerings, as well as commercial avionics and information management solutions.

Demonstrations and displays in addition to VAPT and Pro Line Fusion on the Rockwell Collins exhibit include:

Border security and disaster recovery solutions:

HF Cellular Network - The HF Cellular Network is a state-of-the-art advanced communications network designed to pool HF Automatic Link Establishment ground assets that essentially provide umbrella-like coverage over an extended geographical area. The HF Cellular Network is impervious to traditional point-to-point propagation limitations (time of day, ionospheric fluctuations, sunspot, inospheric perturbations, frequency selection, etc.) and provides exceptional reliability and connectivity performance. HF Cellular is in use today to protect borders and has been used for reliable communication after natural disasters.

Wideband HF - Proven in the field, Rockwell Collins Wide Band HF can securely transmit high bandwidth voice, data and video in extreme environmental conditions across continents.

SubNet Relay (SNR) - SNR is a fully masterless architecture with dynamic relay capabilities that features built-in text chat, comprehensive signal display and a remote control graphic user interface. SNR was developed for the Canadian Navy in 2009 and is rapidly becoming a NATO standard for network interoperability among coalition partners. SNR is ideally suited for monitoring coastal borders.

721S Fixed Site VHF-UHF Radio Transceiver - The 721S is a flexible solution for stand-alone receivers, transmitters or transceivers offering users reliable, long-range communications that can optimize for highly congested operational conditions. 721S is ideal for command and control operations.

Talon™ Airborne Radio- The Rockwell Collins Talon programmable software defined radio (SDR) is the latest fully exportable Receiver-Transmitter (RT) stemming from our proven ARC-210 advanced communication system family.

Cockpit upgrade solutions:

Engine Instrument Display System (EIDS) - EIDS offers low-cost engine instrument upgrades for C-130 transport aircraft.  This is one example of cockpit upgrade capabilities available from Rockwell Collins for C-130s throughout Latin America.

Service solutions:

Performance based service solutions:  FlexForceTM for defense forces and DispatchSM for commercial airlines, Rockwell Collins' tailorable performance based service programs that extend the life of aircraft will be featured in the exhibit.

Information Management Services:  Rockwell Collins will feature its ARINC Direct flight planning solutions for business aviation from newly acquired ARINC.
