Heament John Kurian to head Asia Pacific business

Previous managing director Michael DiGeorge promoted to vice president, IMS International and Global Airports

SINGAPORE (July 14, 2014) - Rockwell Collins announced today that it has appointed Heament John Kurian as managing director of the company's Information Management Services (IMS) division in Asia Pacific, formed as a result of the acquisition of ARINC in 2013.

Kurian succeeds Michael DiGeorge who was recently promoted to vice president of IMS International and Global Airports. DiGeorge will be based in London where he will oversee operations in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as the Airports business portfolio globally.

Kurian has over 21 years of experience in the aviation industry. He joined ARINC's headquarters in the United States in 2000, and moved to Singapore in 2003 to establish the company's Asia Pacific headquarters.

"Since the launch of the Asia Pacific business, Heament has been instrumental in advancing the company's long term strategy and growth of its business in the region," said DiGeorge.

"With his in-depth knowledge of the region, the company and the industry, Heament is the right person to optimize synergy opportunities and lead the Rockwell Collins IMS business in the region to its next stage of growth and development."

Kurian has held senior positions in business development for both the Airlines and Airports business portfolio and was previously senior manager of Corporate Business Development and senior program manager for GLOBALinkSM in Asia. He also led the Commercial Aviation Solutions portfolio for Asia Pacific to marked success, achieving year-on-year growth and expanding the business in new markets.

"Being a leading provider of passenger processing and aviation communications technology, the company is in a tremendous position to extend its lead in the Asia Pacific region, where the aviation industry is one of the most rapidly growing in the world. Going forward, we will continue to focus on developing and delivering innovative, cutting-edge aviation technology solutions that can be tailored to suit the customers' needs," said Kurian.

Rockwell Collins counts, amongst its customers, some of the biggest airports and airlines in Asia Pacific including Hong Kong International Airport, Incheon International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Korean Air and Cathay Pacific Airways.
