Rockwell Collins : brings its best for Canada’s military to CANSEC 2015

• Live Virtual Constructive demonstration of a Joint Terminal Attack Controller at CANSEC guiding a live jet on a simulated close air support mission
• RealFiresTM simulation demonstration using the virtual reality Oculus Rift glasses
• TruNetTM networked communications solution makes Canada debut

OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada (May 20, 2015) - Rockwell Collins reaffirms its commitment to Canada this year at CANSEC 2015 by bringing a wide spectrum of its best technologies aimed at offering significant advancements to the Canadian military.

CANSEC attendees are invited to the Rockwell Collins exhibit (Booth 1103) to get a hands-on experience with the latest military technologies.

One of the highlights begins at 2 p.m. EDT Wednesday, May 27, when Rockwell Collins will conduct a Live, Virtual, Constructive close air support simulation exercise in its exhibit. A Joint Terminal Attack Controller working in the booth will guide an L-29 aircraft flying over Iowa during the exercise.

Attendees will also get the chance to participate in a virtual close air support mission using the Rockwell Collins RealFires transportable trainer and Oculus Rift glasses.

Rockwell Collins' RealFires transportable trainer is a high fidelity, scalable training solution designed by experienced joint fires operators for the joint fires community. This rapidly deployable training system contains up to three cases for the controller, the instructor, and an optional role player. The training system sets up in minutes and is easy to use and edit.

In addition, the Rockwell Collins TruNet networked communications solution will makes its Canada debut. TruNet is the first software defined network communications solution - including ground, airborne and handheld radios, advanced networking waveforms, apps, ancillaries and services - to ensure secure connectivity between ground and airborne elements. Flexing to our customers' unique mission requirements, TruNet provides complete control of networked communications across the entire battlespace.

Wideband HF - Proven in the field, Rockwell Collins Wideband HF can securely transmit high bandwidth voice, data and video in extreme environmental conditions across continents.

SubNet Relay (SNR) - SNR is a networking communication system with a fully masterless architecture and dynamic relay capabilities that features built-in text chat, comprehensive signal display and a remote control graphic user interface. SNR was developed for the Canadian Navy in 2009 and is rapidly becoming a NATO standard for network interoperability among coalition partners. SNR is ideally suited for monitoring coastal borders.

Pro Line Fusion® integrated avionics system - Pro Line Fusion leverages commercial technology for military aircraft providing for advanced avionics capabilities as well as supporting the integration of mission specific functionality at reduced lifecycle costs.

HeliSureTM flight situational awareness solutions - HeliSure delivers sensor data in real time through an intuitive user interface that features 3D visualization for information that pilots can easily, quickly and effectively process. The first two products of the HeliSure family are Helicopter Synthetic Vision System (H-SVS) and Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (H-TAWS), which have been selected by AgustaWestland for the AW149, AW189, AW101 and AW169 platforms.

721S Fixed Site VHF-UHF Radio Transceiver - The 721S is a flexible solution for stand-alone receivers, transmitters or transceivers offering users reliable, long-range communications that can optimize for highly congested operational conditions. 721S is ideal for command and control operations.

TacNet™ Tactical Radio (TTR) - Data Link Solutions (DLS), a joint venture between Rockwell Collins and BAE Systems, recently added the TacNet™ Tactical Radio (TTR) to its extensive Link 16 product line offered to its global military aircraft customers. The move expands the Link 16 product capability to include vital Link 16 situational awareness communication to the smallest, space-constrained platforms that previously had no such capability. The TTR is interoperable with MIDS LVT Link 16 terminals in operation on RCAF CF-18 platforms.

Remote Secure Receiver (RSR) - Rockwell Collins' new RSR, which was recently ordered by the Battlefield Airmen Office of the Air Force Special Operations Command, is the first of its kind and features the world's smallest, lowest power, protected, secure and trusted military Selected Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) GPS solution.

CORE™ Instructor Operator Station - The IOS utilizing Rockwell Collins' Common Open Reusable Element (CORETM) simulation architecture allows an instructor to easily configure application pages and customize lessons quickly, forming a more challenging and accurate experience for the trainee. During the LVC events, the CORE IOS integrated with an EP®-8000 image generator will be demonstrating a high-performance fast jet application.
