Rockwell Collins : expands its Airshow® 3D Moving Map and Venue™ CabinRemote mobile solutions to Google® Play apps

New apps leverage Android™ technologies to enhance cabin experience

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 20, 2014) -  Rockwell Collins' market-leading Airshow® 3D moving map and Venue™ CabinRemote apps will soon be available for download in the Google® Play Store. Business aircraft passengers who utilize Android™ tablets will experience a unique, interactive way to view the world around them and stay entertained, informed and comfortable during their journey.

Rockwell Collins' new apps are optimized for Android tablet users and couple with on-board Airshow and Venue systems to deliver the following new capabilities and features to passengers:

Airshow 3D Moving Map

• Advanced touch-enabled map interaction, including pinch, swipe and zoom
• Topographical, high-resolution LandSat Satellite imagery map set
• Unique, interactive panoramic and pilot head-up display views

Venue CabinRemote

• Two-way communication with an on-board wireless access point (WAP)
• Seat-specific controls in addition to cabin control

Airshow 4000, Airshow 500 and Venue systems with Airshow can take advantage of the new Airshow app for Android. The Android cabin remote app is a simple system upgrade from a Rockwell Collins authorized dealer.

The Airshow 3D moving map and Venue CabinRemote are also currently available via the Apple iTunes® App Store.
