Becomes first airborne V/UHF radio to incorporate
capability with Tactical Secure Voice
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Feb. 6, 2012) - The Rockwell Collins
RT-1939 ARC-210 fifth generation radio continues to lead
the airborne V/UHF market by being the first airborne
software defined radio to be fully certified and fielded
with modernized cryptographic capability with Tactical
Secure Voice (TSV) encryption.
"This modernized cryptographic capability will assure the
warfighters of continued air-to-air and air-to-ground
secure V/UHF communications via the ARC-210 family of
next-generation software defined networking radios," said

Communication and Navigation Products for Rockwell Collins.
"This capability will lead to enhanced warfighter
capabilities and will make communications virtually
seamless."
The ARC-210 Gen5 radio provides a form and fit replacement
for existing ARC-210 radios, which are currently installed
on more than 180 different platform types worldwide in 45
countries. The RT-1939 ARC-210 Gen5 radio features a
software-defined Multi-Waveform Architecture, which is an
optimized Software Communications Architecture with
embedded programmable next generation crypto and extended
frequencies to 941 MHz. Rockwell Collins is also in the
final stages of certification of the RT-1990, a fifth
generation radio, that includes all the capabilities of the
RT-1939, with Ethernet data capability embedded in the
existing connectors.
In addition, the Gen5 radio will provideJoint Precision
Approach and Landing System (JPALS) UHF data link
capability and will support future insertion of TSV version
2.0, SATCOM Integrated Waveform (IW), Combat Net Radio and
Soldier Radio Waveform (SRW) capabilities.
