SAN ANTONIO (Jan. 22-25, 2013) - Rockwell Collins is showcasing its Ascend flight information solutions, the industry's only integrated, one-stop suite of flight operations applications and services, at this year's National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference in San Antonio, Texas. The company is demonstrating many features and enhancements, including a new dynamic flight tracking tool for its Flight Manager website, enhancements to its Flight Operations System (FOS®) scheduling and dispatch software, and capabilities of the Flight Manager mobile application.

Additional Ascend features and enhancements to be showcased include:

Faster flight planning and filing
An intuitive menu structure gives operators easier access to advanced tools, such as equal time points (ETPs), extended range twin-engine operations (ETOPs), user-specified winds, weights and biases, to more quickly compute and file a flight plan.

Easier flight brief creation
An easy-to-use interface enables pilots to choose the information they wish to include in the flight brief, including airport information, text and graphical weather, NOTAMs, runway analysis, receiver autonomous integrity monitoring (RAIM) prediction and delivery.

Time-saving APIS reporting
An electronic Advance Passenger Information System (APIS) reporting tool integrates all necessary information for trips coming in and out of the U.S., including flight plan, crew and passenger information, and allows Part 91 operators to easily create and submit the report. The prepopulated format saves time and reduces potential for error by avoiding redundant data entry and management of multiple passenger/crew databases.

Enhanced flight time prediction and fuel burn calculation
Full integration of flight planning and FOS scheduling and dispatch software, including Rockwell Collins' patented international trip calculator and fuel stop analyzer, allows schedulers and dispatchers to more accurately predict flight times, fuel burn and other costs associated with a trip.

Access to trip-related information on a mobile device
With the Flight Manager mobile iPad® application, pilots and crews can access their schedules, trip documents, weather data and more. This powerful tool allows them to manage every detail, pre- to post-flight, including aircraft crew and passenger schedules, flight logs, expenses, maintenance, service and safety items, and crew training requirements.

Rockwell Collins is the only company to seamlessly connect schedule and dispatch capability with flight planning and other flight services. This integration lowers the total cost of ownership and enhances flight efficiency for any-sized flight department.
