Roundy’s, Inc. (“Roundy’s”) (NYSE: RNDY), a leading grocer in the Midwest, will welcome customers to its newest Mariano’s location in Evergreen Park, Ill., at 6 a.m. tomorrow. Located at 2559 West 95th Street, near the corner of 95th Street and South Maplewood Ave., Mariano’s will offer Evergreen Park and nearby south Chicago neighborhoods fresh, local and exclusive grocery offerings.

“Evergreen Park marks our 30th location and reaffirms our commitment to expanding the Mariano’s experience to the South Side,” said Bob Mariano, chairman and CEO of Roundy’s. “When we open the doors tomorrow, our new neighbors will find a true one-stop shop with unparalleled customer service and unique amenities such as our exclusive Todds BBQ, freshly made Oki Sushi and more.”

Mariano’s Evergreen Park brings nearly 400 jobs to the community, adding to the approximately 9,100 jobs that Mariano’s has created over the past five years. The store will be the second Mariano’s location to feature Crumbs Bake Shop cupcakes in addition to the signature Mariano’s offerings Chicagoland shoppers know and love, including live piano music, a variety of made-to-order foods and an in-store grill where fresh meat and seafood are prepared to customers’ preference while they shop.

Additionally, shoppers will enjoy store enhancements including:

  • Vero featuring premium coffees fresh-roasted locally and homemade gelato prepared with traditional Italian techniques
  • Todds BBQ offering daily smoked brisket, ribs, sausage and more, all with a variety of sauces to fit shoppers’ tastes
  • Bakery with artisan breads, pastries, cakes, donuts and rolls baked daily in store, along with ethnic and Italian treats
  • Squeez’d smoothie bar showcasing a variety of made-to-order nutritional fruit and vegetable smoothies, plus Mariano’s signature fresh-squeezed orange and other fruit juices
  • Full-service pharmacy with friendly and accessible pharmacists, immunization services, the Mariano’s Prescription Savings Club and the unique PharmaSmart Blood Pressure machine

In celebration of the new Mariano’s Evergreen Park location, the Roundy’s Foundation will make donations to two organizations as part of its ongoing commitment to making a positive impact in the communities it serves. Recipients include the Evergreen Park Village Pantry Coalition, which has served more than 5,500 families since opening in 1981, and the Beverly Area Arts Alliance, an organization that works to promote art awareness in the community.

Mariano’s Evergreen Park is open seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
