Roundy’s, Inc. (“Roundy’s”) (NYSE: RNDY), a leading grocer in the Midwest, will open Mariano’s Edgewater, located at 5201 N. Sheridan Road, on Tuesday, April 22, at 6:00 a.m. Shoppers can expect to find a wide array of produce, fresh meat and seafood, as Mariano’s partners with local and regional purveyors to bring together the very best Chicago has to offer.

We’ll have the highest-quality produce with over 200 organic options, along with a made-to-order smoothie bar and gelato shop – just to name a few. Grocery shopping will no longer be a chore.”

With this newly-acquired Edgewater location, Mariano’s adds approximately 400 new team members to the 7,700 careers created in the last three years across all Mariano’s locations.

Edgewater is the fifth Mariano’s store to open of the 11 former Dominick’s locations acquired by Roundy’s in December 2013, and the eighth in the City of Chicago.

Beginning opening day, Mariano’s Edgewater will offer:

  • Squeez’d – our smoothie bar that features a variety of made-to-order nutritional fruit and vegetable smoothies
  • Luxury wines from all regions with personal picks from our wine expert including local, regional and global selections of craft beer
  • OKI sushi offers pre-made Maki and unique signature rolls prepared by our onsite sushi chefs
  • Exclusive access to Mariano’s Tastemakers, consisting of 14 notable chefs and lifestyle experts that can provide shoppers with cooking demos and speak to their craft in the kitchen

Mariano’s Edgewater is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are currently 20 Mariano’s locations across Chicagoland.
