Resignation of Chief Operating Officer 1 September 2014

RBPlat hereby wishes to inform shareholders that the Group's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Nico Muller, has tendered his resignation from the company and the board of directors of RBPlat ("the Board") with effect from 1 October 2014 in order to pursue another career opportunity as an executive with a listed gold mining company. Nico joined the company in January 2009 as Chief Operations Officer and was also appointed to the Board as an Executive Director of the company.

The operational Management structure of the Group has been considered and Mr Neil Carr, previously Head of Projects and Engineering, will be appointed as Executive Head of Operations with effect from 1 October 2014. Mr Glenn Harris, with immediate effect, assumes the role of Head of Operations for the Bafokeng Rasimone Platinum Mines ("BRPM") and the Styldrift project, collectively known as the BRPM Joint Venture ("the JV"). Both individuals are currently members of the RBPlat Executive Committee.

Neil Carr, holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield in the UK, and had completed an Executive Development Programme (EDP) with INSEAD Business School in Paris. He joined the organisation in December 2010 and has 32 years' experience in the platinum mining industry and has been in charge of several projects of the JV including the Styldrift I project. His appointment will ensure the much required continuity.

Glenn Harris, has been the General Manager at BRPM since 2006 and holds a BTech in Mining Engineering and Pr. Cert. Eng. He comes with extensive mining industry experience and has worked in the industry for just over 29 years. He has been responsible for the strong operational performance that BRPM has been delivering on a consistent basis. Added to that, the Styldrift I project was started under his leadership and this consolidation of roles and his appointment as Head of the BRPM JV operations provides the streamlining and continuity required.

Nico played a pivotal role within the organisation and was instrumental in the development, stability and progress of the operations as well as ensuring the advancement of the Styldrift project.

The Board would like to thank Nico for his valuable contribution to the Board and the organisation during his tenure and wish him every success in his new endeavour.
