KUWAIT, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) canceled a contract to purchase a gas field in Thailand from Royal Dutch Shell, it said Wednesday.
KUFPEC said in a statement that the cancellation of the deal, signed last January, would not have any financial repercussions on the company.
Despite the move, KUFPEC will continue to seek ventures with other global companies, it added.
Established in April 1981 by its parent stste-owned company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, KUFPEC is an upstream company, engaged in worldwide oil and gas exploration and production. (end) ht.gta
