ROYAL DUTCH SHELLA : EU Refers Antitrust Analysis of Spain Jet Fuel Joint Venture to Spain

BRUSSELS--The European Commission said Friday it was referring to Spanish regulators the analysis of the compatibility with antitrust rules of a proposed aviation fuel joint venture between Royal Dutch Shell PLC (RDSB, RDSA) and Disa Corporacion Petrolifera SA.
"After a preliminary assessment, the Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would only affect certain Spanish markets and that the Spanish competition authority would therefore be best placed to examine it," the commission said in a statement.
In the proposed operation, Shell would sell part of its stake in Shell Aviation Espana S.L. to Disa.
