'Visit Berlin' holds workshop for travel agents in cooperation with RJ 2014-01-29

"Visit Berlin" held a workshop in Amman on January 28, 2014, in cooperation with Royal Jordanian, to introduce travel agents to major attractions in Berlin in order to boost tourism between Jordan and Germany and invest in Royal Jordanian flights between the two countries.

The one-day workshop, which was attended by about 50 Jordanian travel agents, was held at Sheraton Hotel, Amman, under the slogan "Berlin meets Amman".

During the event, "Visit Berlin" Director Market Management Ralf Ostendorf had a presentation and screened short films about the ever-changing city of Berlin, showing the best museums and galleries, sights and attractions, mentioning that the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall falls on November 9, 2014. He also underlined that health tourism in the city is growing.

The workshop aims to spur the efforts of travel agents in Jordan to organize trips and tourism programs to Berlin using the RJ flights between the two cities. RJ now operates 11 weekly flights to Germany: three to Berlin, six to Frankfurt and two to Munich.

Royal Jordanian launched its operations to Berlin in 2011 to serve the growing demand of passengers. The airline will offer promotional fares on its tickets between Amman and Berlin in order to boost traffic to the above-mentioned German cities, to mutual benefit.

"Visit Berlin" works closely with the German National Tourist Board (GNTB) to represent Berlin optimally in global markets.
