-- Ryder Ranks Among Top Five Third Party Logistics Providers for
15th Consecutive Year --
Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R), a leader in supply
chain, warehousing and transportation management solutions, today
announced it has been selected as one of the winners of Inbound
Logistics' annual Top 10 3PL Excellence Awards. Earning the second
place on the list by this leading publication, Ryder ranked among the
top five companies for the fifteenth consecutive year.
"Year after year, Inbound Logistics readers vote for Ryder in
large numbers. It's a testament to Ryder's market perception among
readers, and its commitment to excellence and high quality standards,"
said Felecia Stratton, editor of Inbound Logistics.
This year, approximately 4,600 readers participated in the Top 10 3PL
Excellence Awards survey, casting 8,638 ballots - the highest number of
votes in the award's history. The survey is an unaided recall, so
readers are asked to write in the names of three 3PLs they feel do the
best job for them. There is no checklist.
"Many of the best run companies in the world hire 3PLs to improve their
logistics operations," said John Williford, President of Global Supply
Chain Solutions for Ryder. "This is why we dedicate ourselves to great
execution, deep understanding of our clients' needs, and continuous
improvement."
