Soares da Costa Group informs on changes on Executive Committee
Grupo Soares da Costa, SGPS, S.A. informs that Pedro Almeida Gonçalves has presented today his resignation as a member of the board of directors of the company, and consequently, as Chief Executive Officer, also proposing this resignation to be effective from August 30, 2011 (exclusive) onwards.
The board of directors, in an extraordinary meeting held today, taking into consideration the necessary transition period, which should be coordinated and preserve the Group’s efficient operational management, has deliberated the following:
a) To accept the letter of resignation of Pedro Almeida Gonçalves to be effective from August 30, 2011 (exclusive) onwards;
b) To appoint as Chief Executive Officer, António Castro Henriques, already member of the board of directors, with effect from the date of termination of service as member of the board of Pedro Almeida Gonçalves.
