SABCA is proud to announce that it is participating in the new SMS business jet project of Dassault Aviation as a partner for the design, development and production of the Lower Rear Fuselage. This large metallic primary structure is located just aft of the wing box and will integrate numerous systems like electrical wirings, hydraulic pipes, equipment, etc...

The contract has been awarded to SABCA at the end of 2010 and a team of SABCA engineers is working as part of the integrated team with Dassault Aviation and other partners at Dassault’s headquarters in Saint Cloud, in the outskirts of Paris. The development and testing of the prototypes will lead to an entry into service in 2016 followed by a series production that we all hope long and successful.

This selection by Dassault Aviation of our company to work as a 'design and build' partner is a confirmation of SABCA ‘s strategy to compete for the full management of large complex programs covering all aspects from the design up to product support. The SMS programme will also be an excellent occasion to expand and confirm SABCA’s dynamic subcontracting policy that will see major portions of the package built and assembled by highly qualified subcontractors.
