AGREEMENT

• Alfonso X el Sabio University and Sacyr will jointly develop tests and studies for R&D&i projects in the construction division, in order to round off its teaching of the Civil Engineering Degree and the University Master's Degree in Roads, Canals and Ports Engineering.

• Sacyr will allow the Higher Polytechnic School use of its roads laboratory equipment and its qualified personnel, all of whom are highly experienced in international work and tests and also in research. The UAX will therefore be able to count on these professionals to improve practical training for its students and future Civil Engineers.

• The UAX will provide the facilities and the teaching and research staff necessary to carry out these activities which, alongside Sacyr, will form a groundbreaking cluster in the Spanish university sphere, reinforcing the UAX as a business university and Sacyr as the leading company in materials innovation.



José María Orihuela, CEO of Sacyr Construcción, a multinational leader in large civil engineering and building projects, and the Alfonso X el Sabio University have today signed a collaboration agreement to create and develop the ROADLAB SACYR - UAX laboratory.

Sacyr will allow the UAX's Higher Polytechnic School use of its roads materials laboratory, allowing it to carry out research work in order to develop road surface materials from the University.

The Alfonso X el Sabio University provides the company Sacyr with the facilities and the teaching and support staff necessary to implement and develop ROADLAB

ROADLAB will provide for the studies and tests necessary for Sacyr's activities, both in the construction and in the R&D&i divisions.

Senior management at the ROADLAB laboratory will be jointly entrusted to Ángel Sampedro Rodríguez, the Head of Studies for the Civil Engineering Degree and the Master's Degree in Roads, Canals and Ports Engineering, and José Ramón Marcobal Barranco, the Head of the Surfaces Department, on behalf of Sacyr Construcción

This initiative is part of the University's R&D&i program. At the UAX we see research as an essential function in the university, as it ensures ongoing learning among our teaching staff and therefore improves the level of education imparted
